Exam

Students studying at the institute may opt to appear for graded certificate and diploma exams conducted by any of the following boards. These exams provide students an opportunity to formally validate their level of proficiency.

Rockschool(R2K), London

Rockschool adds a new dimension to the graded examinations by providing a route to qualifications for performers in pop and rock styles on guitar, bass, drums, piano and vocals. In the UK, Grades 6–8 are eligible for UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) points for those applying to colleges and universities. Rockschool is the only exam board for popular music, accredited by Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), in England.

Trinity Rock & Pop (Trinity College London)

Performance is at the heart of Trinity’s Rock & Pop exams — whether self-taught or taking lessons, learning for fun or heading for a career in the music industry, these exams help musicians develop valuable playing skills and achieve their musical ambitions. In the UK, Grades 6–8 are eligible for UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) points for those applying to colleges and universities.

Trinity Guildhall (Trinity College London)

Trinity Guildhall offers a range of grade examinations for all instruments across nine levels from Initial to Grade 8. These examinations assess performance and technical skills from beginner to accomplished
performer.
